Measure the actual humidity
Use a hygrometer and record relative humidity over several days.
Measure in the morning, afternoon, after showers or laundry, during rain, and with doors open and closed. Also note musty odor, condensation, wet flooring, wall dampness, seepage, and seasonal changes.
