Why Is My Microwave Sparking?
Stop the cycle immediately. Remove unauthorized metal, foil, twist ties, metallic trim, probes, and incorrectly placed racks; clean burned residue; inspect the cavity and door; and discontinue use if damage, recurring arcing, or an electrical odor remains.
